Clarinet/ Mozart Crystals – Carolina Goedeke

MOZART CRYSTALS: Crystalline energy structures in music and painting.
Karina Stieren (violinist/shaman) and Carolina Goedeke (clarinetist/visual artist) share the music of W.A. Mozart in concerts in combination with the presentation of abstract watercolor artworks that visualize musical-harmonic energies.

The duo performs classical works, original compositions by Karina Stieren and free improvisations.
Mozart was chosen as the eponym because the musicians want to open up new spaces to the proven balancing and harmonizing effect of his works, which they arrange especially for violin and clarinet: from contemporary art galleries to museums to various festivals and public spaces.

The musical improvisation, created as a unique piece in the moment, relates to the artworks exhibited/projected by Carolina Goedeke and the particular atmosphere on site.

As a Clarinetist with a classical background I love playing Mozarts Clarinet Concerto KV 622 in its original historical Version for Bassett Clarinet. I am performing this piece together with Piano in Art Exhibitions and Cultural Events in Italy and Germany. My instrument is a very rare one, constructed like a clarinet of Mozart’s time, and it has four lower keys in addition.

In 2016 I played in Philharmonie Berlin (Bela Bartok, Concert for Orchester) with Sinfonie Orchester Schoeneberg.
Also I create a lot of Improvisations, Solo and with other Musicians, in Contemporary Art Exhibitions inspired by the context which is surrounding me, in Museums and Galleries in Italy and Germany, like in Genoa /Italy in Galata Museo del Mare, Casa della Musica, Castello di Nervi, and in Berlin (Degewo Remise Gallery, Fontanehaus).
